Seawolf Taking off

A Emergency crew stands by on the edge of the flight deck
A Crewman in an insulated firefighting suit is one deck below.
The Flight Deck of the YRBM 20 could hold two Helicopters.

The YRBM 20, known as the Delta Hilton, was a floating Brown Water Navy base at Chou Doc in Vietnam during 1969 and 1970. In addition to supporting PBR River Divisions and other boats it also functioned not unlike a pocket helicopter carrier supplying fuel and ammo continuously for days in support of nearby air operations.
In one campaign ammo was passed hand over hand from a docking ammo ship to the flight deck and onto Seawolfs and Crusaders continuously for over 48 hours to stop the advancing North Vietnamese army near the Cambodian Border.

Vietnam Unit Memorial Monument

Vietnam Unit Memorial Monument

The Unit Memorial Monument is on the Coronado Naval Amphibious Base.
The Unit Memorial Monument will memorialize all the Naval personnel
who died or are missing in Vietnam. The names on the monument are organized by
unit complete with Unit insignia. Includes support and auxillary units.

Funds are needed to complete the Unit Memorial Monument and
restore the Command Control Boat, Swift Boat and PBR displayed there.
Your donations to this effort would be appreciated.

The Last known Command Control Boat (CCB-18) has arrived in San Diego
and is displayed at the Vietnam Navy Unit Memorial Monument Site
on the Coronado Naval Amphibious Base.
This was called by some a monitor boat.
